SCHOOL BAND COMPETITION
INFORMATION

The 1st Annual Sydney Blues Festival will be held in historic Windsor NSW from 22 to 25 October 2009. A feature of the Festival will be a School Band Competition. You are invited to enter your School Band in the competition, the details of which are as follows:

Definition
A school band may comprise a solo performer, or a group of musicians with or without singer. The music style should be Blues or a genre closely associated with Blues.

Competition Series

• Elimination round on Thursday 22 October 2009 from 3:00pm at Windsor Riverview Shopping Centre
• Grand Final round on Saturday 24 October 2009 at Windsor Riverview Shopping Centre

Performances can be any length up to a 1/2 hour maximum.

Judging
A panel of Judges has been appointed to rank the performers. Their decision will be final.

Prizes

• Winning School
  • 1 x $500 River Music Voucher
• Winning Band
  • 1 x (up to) 1 hour Festival gig at the Macquarie Arms Family Entertainment Garden
  • 1 x $200 River Music Voucher
• 3 x Runner Up Bands
  • 1 x $50 River Music Voucher per band
