Loved by country, folk and popular music audiences alike, The Pigs' combination of music and comedy is sensational!
The Pigs are a family of Hillbillies, who all sing and play super-charged acoustic instruments; with Par Pig on double bass, T-Bone Pig on nylon string guitar, Streeetch Pig on Steel String guitar, Cousin Billy-Bob Pig on stand-up drums and, Cousin Jebodiah on banjo and mandolin. The sound is a glorious genre-defying blend of bluegrass, pop, rock, folk and just about everything else!
Par Pig and his boys claim to hail from the internet, though there are also theories that the family in fact came down to Australia from somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains or even from a misguided spaceship. Whatever their genesis, the band has been having one hell of a good time since arriving on the east coast of Australia in 2005. Beginning with some wild and crazy shows in Sydney's pubs and universities The Pigs soon found themselves playing the big festival stages. Audiences warm to their combination of original songs like "Buster the Bomb" - the story of a cluster bomb that had trouble making friends - and outrageous down-home arrangements of pop classics like Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time" and Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer".

Streeetch Pig was heard to comment, "This red carpet sure feels nice between my toes!" The video, which continues to feature on the Australian Country Music Channel, includes cartoon likenesses of the band and their hound-dog Jessie-Bob!
Releases Album - The Pigs (Aug 2007)
The Pigs’ Debut Self-Titled album was released in August 2007 and distributed through Green Media (MGM). A wild Hillbilly version of Total Eclipse of the Heart has featured on radio stations all over Australia including TripleJ and Saturday Night Country on Radio National.
EP – Crazy (Jan 2007)
The band launched ‘Crazy’, during the hotly contested week of the Tamworth Country music festival. FBI radio listeners loved the version of the White Stripe’s song, “7 Nation Army”.
