BUDDY THE BLUES ARTIST:
 Buddy Knox is a “boot smokin’ blues man, who formed the Buddy Knox Blues Band in late 2006. Since then, Buddy’s progress has been pretty exciting, with performances at some of the biggest music festivals in Australia.
His passion for the blues is obvious; armed with a 335 Gibson; a lifetime of global music and guitar adventures, he promises his blues show will “smoke ya boots!”
Buddy’s smooth voice, his dazzling guitar, and a steaming backing band, he certainly has ‘got da blues’. It’s an awesome arsenal with his exciting stage performance and presence, and his repertoire pleases the most devout blues enthusiasts!
Buddy has been described as Australia's answer to BB King!!

- Tamworth 2007, 2008, 2009, The Biggest Music Festival (Country!) in the southern hemisphere, but the Buddy Knox Blues Band played to appreciative blues fans at two venues, in 2009.

A brief Buddy Knox history:
 Buddy Knox first picked up a guitar at just ten years of age. His big ambition was to “play like Chuck Berry”. Despite the challenge of practising on an old worn guitar, (Toomelah mission axe), which was missing a string, Buddy's goal to play persisted with his natural talent flourishing. Music and playing guitar became Buddy’s life. From humble beginnings; a passion for guitar; his own natural gift, and with music an important aspect of his life, Buddy perfected his guitar ability to a professional standard, spanning nearly three decades. He has played guitar and toured with many respected artists, including the Warumpi Band, Roger Knox, Auriel Andrew, Troy Cassar-Daley, Paul Kelly, Jimmy Little, Bobby McLeod, Col Hardy, Vic Simms. These tours included national, international, and festival appearances.
Buddy’s passion for the blues has been simmering for most of his guitar years. His twenty five years of guitar playing and singing harmonies have been a great preparation for him to commit to his big dream of his own Blues Band. Buddy’s blues influences include all the Kings: Freddie, Albert and BB. Robert Johnson, Robert Cray, Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhie, Albert Collins and Delbert McClinton. He has vast blues knowledge of the old blues men and a great respect for their work. Buddy plays a Gibson 335; it’s a beautiful instrument he treasures, with the evidence of hard playing on the back. BUDDY’S DEBUT ALBUM: ‘got da blues’
In January 2008, Buddy released his debut album ‘got da blues’.
It is a fourteen track album of quality, the CD ‘got da blues’ has received industry acclaim with the following Awards:
- NEWCASTLE BLUES MUSIC AWARD: Album of the Year 2008.
- AUSTRALIAN BLUES MUSIC CHAIN AWARDS: Goulburn Blues Music Festival, February 2009.
- Best New Blues Talent for 2008, Buddy Knox.
- FINALIST in: Best Male Vocal and Producer of the Year
